It has been pointed out to me that I did not include the fine print...
"Archive/restore/copy is fully supported in any direction between patch releases of Teradata."
This is true as long as the systems were already compatible for ARC (eg same system hash setting) and that no other setting affecting ARC was
changed when the patches were installed (eg system re-installed at new patch release on new version with different hash function).
If the systems were already compatible and a simple in-place patch upgrade was done, then ARC will continue to work.
