The manual provides the following instructions on starting utilities from the Linux command line: 1. If not already done, set up the Teradata Database environment by typing: tdatcmd at the Linux command line. 2. On the command line type: utilityname [options] where utilityname is the name of the utility, and options can include any of the available command-line options and arguments of that utility. Note: Operators must be members of the tdtrusted user group or have root access to run console utilities. Other users can run the utilities only if they have been explicitly granted access using the GRANT command. Below is a link to the Utilities manuals. Hope this information helps.
