Subj:   How to find data type and nullability

From:   Parvathareddy, Vinod

Hi Experts,

I have a table with 200 columns , in that some columns are nullable and some are not nullable, when I am trying to inserting a values using select statement its giving an error as source coming as null and target is not nullable column.

Is there any way to find in which column is coming as null.

Ex:

     insert into table
     sel table1.*,table2.*
from table1 left outer join table2

I want to know select query null and not null columns depending on data.

If data have all values in that time I am expecting all are not null columns in select query .

If data have some null values in that time I am expecting that columns are null .

Is there any show definition ?

Thanks

Vinod
