As previously mentioned by Barb - " NPARC - did your Teradata Solution Architect offer this as an option for your data movement?" This is the best advice for migrating to a new system. Re:" Why don't you first upgrade your TTU level (BAR included) to your new target version?" & " If BAR is not upgraded, how are you planning to take backups?" As mentioned, at some point you will need to upgrade BAR - unless you alternate plans for backing a system up. The BAR software version needs to at least be at the same level as the database version - if DBS is going to 13.10, then BAR software needs to be at least at 13.10 also. Tim
