CPU efficiency is a reflection of the balance of CPU use across all nodes. There is little correlation between the parallelism and system CPU capacity until you begin to exceed 90% of available CPU use. At that point, we often see a decrease in efficiency as the system experiences swapping and other ramifications of extensive resource management.
