Hi, Thanks for the info. From what you've said there is a change in the order in which access rights are checked from TD13 to TD14. However, my question was what is the difference between the two error codes. When will we get a 3523 and when will we get a 5315 ? To my mind this is quite important from an application perspective. Most applications that issue database commands will typically: - check for rc=0 and carry on with the required processing, - check for other 'known' return codes and handle those (e.g. object not found) - any other non-zero return code will be treated as a 'failure' and the application will process accordingly. If there are two 'security violation' return codes and we don't know under which circumstances either one will be generated then any application that is handling such errors always has to handle both return codes. Not the end of the world but it would be nice to know. Cheers, Dave Ward Analytics Ltd - Information in motion (www.ward-analytics.com)
