From:   Lenka, Dipti Prakash

Hi Sugesh,

A SESSION means a period/term devoted to perform a particular activity. So every logical link establish between User and Database thru a userid is called a SESSION.

Also if a utility using 20 sessions, what is meant by that?

20 SESSION means, 20 times you are establishing ur link with the Database to accomplish a particular activity, that particular activity can be break down into small chunk of work and shared by those 20 SESSION to finish it quickly.

Thanks,

Dipti Prakash
