Hi,

BLC is done outside of the CREATE TABLE statement. It's enabled in the following ways:

1. Empty table: New QueryBand options will tell the file system that the table being loaded by this load job (a utility or an insert/select) is to undergo compression as it is being loaded.

2. Non-empty table: The Ferret utility can be used to either compress all the data blocks in an existing table, or to un-compress it.
