<-- Anonymously Posted: Tuesday, May 29, 2012 07:23 --> Hi, BLC is done outside of the CREATE TABLE statement. It's enabled in the following ways: 1. Empty table: New QueryBand options will tell the file system that the table being loaded by this load job (a utility or an insert/select) is to undergo compression as it is being loaded. 2. Non-empty table: The Ferret utility can be used to either compress all the data blocks in an existing table, or to un-compress it. Thanks.
