Hi, As i said to customer,SQL is a declarative language, so you have to cast the column to the datatype that you want to convert to. Teradata permits implicit conversions, and depending on request, execution plan, the column that is converted could be different. You must cast the column into the rigth datatype . As i'm writting pros on SQL Teradata, joining columns that have not the same datatype show me that physical model seems not to be built in the state of art. Regards. Patrick.
