Hi,

TPT is an ETL tool that provides an alternative to Multiload, Fastload etc. It has some advantages over the older utilities in that there is a single scripting language, a wider choice of data sources available without any coding, you can load the same table from multiple sources in a single job/script. Also, new features are not being added to ML, FL etc, only TPT (the older utilities are being kept up to date with newer versions of the DBMS and probably client platforms, but that's about it).

Within TPT you have 'operators', a lot of which mimic the older utilities; e.g. LOAD operator => Fastload, STREAM operator => Tpump.
