Hi,

Basically Teradata Parallel Transporter ( TPT ) is a client software that performs data extraction, data transformation and data loading functions in a Scalable Parallel Processing Environment.

TPT bring together the traditional Teradata Load utilities ( FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport and TPump) into a single product using a single script language.

Load and unload jobs are run using 'operators' which define the type of operation to be performed.

TPT can be invoke either by using the TPT script or by an API ( Application Programming interface) which is available for customized applications employing the TPT protocols.
