Hi,

I think you're saying that when you try to insert a row into a table the insert is not completing because the request is blocked. You should be able to see this through VP, your session will show with a status of BLOCKED. It should also show you what you are blocked on.

If the blocking session cannot be found then it may be a utility session (usually fastload or multiload) that has since logged off.

To find locks left by failed fastload/multiloads run the CHECKTABLE comand (in Ferret) with the PendingOp option.
