I think he might be referrring to the queries used to find the distribution of values in different columns of a table. I have seen a
presentation by Teradata where they were providing spreadsheets and sqls which will help in identifying distribution of various values of a
column. Finally they give a conclusion based on the distinct values and also the rate of growth of data in the columns.
