Subj:   Re: The schedule for Teradata Studio?

From:   Coutts, Mike

Iv,

Further to Mike Dempsey's reply I would concur and extend as follows.

Teradata Studio Express, which went GCA last week (developer.teradata.com/...), is intended to provide a multi-platform solution for SQL access to Teradata.

It is based upon the Teradata Plug-in for Eclipse code base (developer.teradata.com/...), which allows Teradata database developers to create all aspects of their Database Applications (SQL, DDL, DML, Stored Procedures, UDF's and Enterprise access to these).?

Work is in hand to provide for a multi-platform equivalent to Teradata Administrator within the 2012 with research into a replacement for Analyst Pack capabilities such as Visual Explain underway.

As part of this research any input you may have as to the most important features of these applications would be of great benefit to us, please feel free to email you thoughts directly.

Regards,

Mike.Coutts

Teradata.
