Hi all,

Would anyone be using Teradata MDS? If so we'd appreciate any info / lessons learned etc.

In particular we are experiencing slowness when using the metasurf component of Teradata MDS.

The login time usually takes between 10 and 15 secs to login and go to the main Search page.

After performing a search for a particular database the response can be up to 10 secs We have carried out performance monitoring on the?Server and the CPU /memory usage etc is very low.

We also have created statistics on all the primary and secondary indexes on the tables in the MDS repository

Number of DB's imported in MDS 118
No of Tables in those imported DB's 5,537
No of Views in those imported DB's 5,044
No of Columns (View & Tables) 253,002

MetaSurf web pages is hosted on a virtual Windows 2008 64bit running IIS 7

Is there any tweaking that we can carry out to improve performance, because as it stands we would not be able to roll this out to users.
