Hi, Sobhan makes a valid point. What have you tried ? However, to answer your question you need to really compare explain plans before/after. Stats only help you if they change the structure of the explain plan. By structure I refer to the order in which tables are accessed, the join strategy that is used, which indexes are used. Standard recommendations for stats include "collect on selection columns where the data values are skewed". Does this column meet that criteria?
