If you do a "union all"? in?view ?then your queries wont be using the Indexes (exceptionaly PI) ?on your tables, If your going to create a JI or AJI also wont help most of the times.

Splitting the one table into 5 tables in teradata is not a good desgin, hopefully PPI should help you in this scenario if you would done the partition horizontaly.
