Hi

I want to know if collecting stats on individual columns is different from collecting them using "COLLECT STATS ON TABLE".

Say i have table with stats defined on 4 columns of a table.

Is

     collect stats on TABLE1 column(A);
     collect stats on TABLE1 column(B);
     collect stats on TABLE1 column(C);
     collect stats on TABLE1 column(D);

Different from

     collect stats on TABLE1;

(TABLE1 has stats defined on the above 4 columns)

PLease help.
