<-- Anonymously Posted: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 -3:58 --> Dear all, I work with teradata 13 I have a table with no duplicate row, when I am trying to update update tableex set SEQUENCE= SEQUENCE*10; an error occurred: 2802 duplicate row. What I tried to do is writing a cursor to update the table row by row into a procedure, same error occurred. (but the update works for only 11 rows from 150 rows) So I checked the table tableex I found it updated for the first 11 rows and the rest is not updated !! How the commit works with teradata 13 ?? How could I rolleback or not commit when an update doesn t work correctly, because it is a big risk for me. Thanks for your help.
