Hi Sridharan,

There is no releation between the block level data transfer and the locks.Locks are applied for the table integrity purpose.

We have the option of release lock for the Mload failures, as it can locks the populated target table.The locks are not released on the tables during the failure as the Mload can be restarted.

Fast export just applies the read lock and there is no need of release lock option in the failures.

Fast load just apply the locks on the empty table,so there by we don't need the option of release lock.
