Pseudo table locks are only placed for locks on a table level. But RowHash locks might still interfere.

What did your Batchuser actually do? Single row inserts using MultiStatements or PACK in BTEQ? This will easily result in deadlocks for a NUPI target table.

Btw, where did you find that info about Pseudo locks in the manuals? I thought this was only availabe in the training manuals.
