Hi,

with 50 states you will need 6 presence bits in each column since 2^5-1 <= 50 <= 2^6-1 and all your states will be compressed.

With your local country compression ( only one value ) you will need 1 presence bit. You will need 2 bytes for the other 50% of states.

It depends on the table definition, how the alignment of the row header looks like .... just give it a try on sample data and then compare currentperm of the tables.
