Samikkumar, There is no magic bullet for tuning, it really depends on the query and the table being accessed. However there are common steps that you would go through like you mentioned below. Here some additional items you may want to look into as well 1) Physical table design (data model) 2) Multi Value compression - This can save significant I/O and translate into better performance 3) Look into possibility of adding secondary index or JI to help with access path 4) Avoid data type mismatches during the sql join 5) Minimize redistribution if possible 6) Leverage PPI and MPPI depending on your Teradata version to help with partition elimination Thanks Chirag Chirag Belosay
