That was useful additional info for some folks.
One correction though. ODBC can return data types other than CHAR.
The older versions of SQL Assistant (up to 12.0) always asked the ODBC driver to return character strings, but newer versions return numeric
data as numbers.
Additionally, SQL Assistant 13.0 and above can correctly return Decimals up to 28 digits.
