Subj:   Re: Teradata connection through REXX.

From:   Aldrin, John

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I went back into my archives from 1999 to find this. These scripts were developed for an MVS/TSO environment.

I have attached a number of REXX scripts that I have used in the past to perform some System Administrator functions. I originally used these on an old DBC/1012 system with no LAN access, and later at a site where I did not have LAN access when dialing in, therefore, only MVS was available.

The key members to look at are 'BTEQ', 'QRY' and 'REPORTS'. The REPORTS script was originally modified from an old Tech Tip (TTIP 119). I modified it from VM for MVS, and later adapted it for V2R2. The BTEQ member allowed me to edit a BTEQ script in ISPF, execute the BTEQ command and see the results in an ISPF Browser window in the foreground mode. In addition, it could build a JCL script and submit the job in the background.

I am including the balance of the scripts, since there may be additional examples or material that could be of assistance.
