Subj:   Re: Database expire

From:   DWellman

Hi Meenakshi,

This is not possible in the Teradata environment. A database is permanent until you specifically drop it.

Tables can be temporary until the end of the session but that's about all.

If you wanted a database removed at a specific point in time, you'd have to schedule a job which removes all objects in the database, any child databases/users and their objects and then finally removes the database itself.

Cheers,

Dave
