Whilst the various posts and suggestions have been very interesting wouldn't it just be easier to change the password on the existing SYSDBA logon, let your temp DBA use it whist your regular DBA is on vacation, then change the password back once your DBA returns. If you are going to clone the SYSDBA logon so that the temp has all the same rights and authority why not just use the original ? If it's an audit trail consideration surely there are ways of monitoring who has done what and when.
