Now, the question is, why SQL Prepare function can take up to 50 minutes. The delay is between StartTime and FirstStepTime of the SQL Prepare entry, but as there are actually no steps, it's hard to say. I don't know what exactly this Prepare function does - I doubt it could be blocked by some Teradata locks, right? The locks are positioned by the Execute function that follows and actually executes the query.

Is it possible that the delay is caused by the application? Does it interfere somehow once the Prepare process starts on Teradata?
