Setting the DefragLowCylProd value higher will cause defrag to run more often. The max value you can set it to is 65535 (cylinders). When using FERRET you really would want to use the DEFRAGMENT command not the PACKDISK command. Packdisk might cause some cylinders to get defragmented but only as a side effect. DEFRAGMENT will do a more thorough job - especially when the FORCE option is used. Without FORCE, the DEFRAGMENT command will not process cylinders unless 25% of the sectors on the cylinder are considered fragments (too small for DB allocations to succeed.
