Subj:   Missing lines in DBC.DBQLStepTbl

Hi all,

I have a simple "INSERT INTO table VALUES(?,?) ;" query, which appears normally in DBC.DBQLogTbl. However, I cannot find it in DBC.DBQLStepTbl. My search is based on ProcID and QueryID number. For some queries of this sort, I can find corresponding record in StepTbl, for some not. I have intention to say it is random, if it was possible.

StepInfo querylogging is turned on, I double-checked.

The manual says:

"If the step information of the query is requested, a step table is populated with a row for each step."

Is there any possibility that the step information is not requested? How is the query executed then? I thought it could be due to CacheFlag, but then, I have some other query that is cached but appears in DBQLStepTbl anyway.

Thanks in advance for your inputs, I'm confused here.

P.S.: I'm on V2R6, btw.
