Hi

We have several tables which have an identity column. Is there any way to force a manual value into this identity column? I have tried, but the record does not appear, even though the insert came back with 1 row processed.

We have our identity column which starts at 1 but we need a value of -1. We had initially had this -1 in a view unioned with the base table, but onfortunately this is confusing the optimiser and cannot be used in an AJI.

Any ideas?
