Boris, duplicated data costs the big money I guess. Teradata DB is loved by customers, because they don't need to do this. They simply can buy additional HW capacity and get so not only doubled space & doubled cpu capacity, also half of maintenance costs compating two separated systems, very probably half of response times, count of DBA people remains the same, data are only in one version, etc. I intended with previous sentences to explain, that my experience is in oppposite direction in behaviour. It means it's about merge of data from different systems into one big TD system. Regards, Roman
