Hi,

We need to remove 5 years of data from 6 tables in Teradata in order to re-claim space and then restore as per business needs.

For this we are planning to make the following parameterized jobs

1st Job - A paramterized job which should take the Tablename as parameter and would copy the 1 yr oldest data (2001) to the Temp table in Teradata.

2nd Job - Would again take the tablename as parameter and should backup the 1 year data to the Tape

3rd Job - Restore Job again paramaeterized which should take the tablename as parameter and would restore the data in Teradata Temp table.

4th Job - Should delete the archived data from the production table and the temp table.

Can anybody please advise, if we can make the above parameterised jobs in teradata which is connected through mainframes.
