Are there any recommendations, from Teradata or otherwise, as to what data types to avoid or limit due to database overhead or performance
considerations, etc?
I understand that in DB2 and SQL server there are certain data types, such as DECIMAL, that are commonly avoided because of negative impact on
the system. I was wondering if there are similar guidelines for Teradata.
