Following a recent upgrade to TD12 (version 12.0.2), I have seen a slight drop in total CPU usage (around 10% decrease) but a large increase in
IO (around 40-50%). I have not yet investigated this to see if these changes are somewhat uniform for all users/applications, or if certain
users/application are responsible for the majority of the change. I plan on doing that, but before I do I thought I would see if anyone else out
there has had a similar experience after upgrading to TD12. If so, did you determine the reason? For example, was it due to the TD12 optimizer
developing different execution plans in some cases? Or is this just a normal across-the-board occurrence after a TD12 upgrade?
