Our issue is the file held in Access is 1gig in size. We don't have the available space in the Teradata environment to directly load this file, and querying against it in Access is quite time consuming and causes issues. We have a number of datasets in Teradata we want to run this file against, again these datasets are very large so running our queries in Access using linked tables is slow and causes crashes and network issues. I do use Access to link to Teradata tables in some instances to save having to export data but in this case we need to do it the other way round.
