Thanks to a contribution from Karl Wridgway, we have a new (and handy) UDF on the TeradataForum website.

Based on call parameters (eg- format of date), it tests whether a character string is a valid date. It returns the date if valid, else a NULL is returned. Karl's UDF can be found at:
