Going down a dual-load route creates all sorts of issues such as this, and you'll probably find that for every customer who has taken the
approach, each will have their own in-house solution for data reconciliations, password synchs, accessrights, etc, etc.
I think the situation is much better now with the release of Teradata Multi-System Manager (TMSM). Although I haven't used this 'in anger',
from what I've seen of it, it takes away a lot of the troublesome issues. I'd get the Teradata guys in to give you a demo, as a starter-for-10.
Pointless building bespoke solutions for functionality you can now get out-of-the-box.
