continuity purposes and replicating the server 1 data to server 2. Is server 2 going to be backfilled with an upgrade, once the current server 2

Hi, Quincy (which I usually say to my daughter),
When I engaged in this exercise some time back, we were merging a 1 TB system and a 3 TB system into a nice new larger system (10 TB, I think),
via a node expansion on the 3 TB system, and dedicating the old 1 TB system to test and development work.
Given the cost of a Teradata installation of any size, I don't find it surprising that business continuity often doesn't justify that second
system.
I've seen identical systems are maintained in parallel, but that driven by load balancing. Business continuity was a pleasant side-effect.
