Teradata locking mechanism is often not up to the demands of real-time data warehousing combined with intensive OLTP. You have to be aware of
the limitations while designing and exploiting your DWH. When you hit the limit of this kind it's time for Plan B! Be pragmatic and flexible.
Don't say things like "It's our architecture and we can't change it" because this leads nowhere.
