Subj:   Re: How to find Active Jobs

From:   DWellman

Hi Souyma,

You can find the nuber of 'logged on' jobs of each type by querying dbc.sessioninfo. Look in the LogonSource column for the relevant program name (e.g. MLOAD) and substring from Position 15. Group by the resulting substring and that will identify each unique job.

The utilities themselves don't check a system table to find out if there are too many running. This return code is passed back by the DBMS which keeps a track of how many such jobs are running in memory structures.

Cheers,

Dave
