Hi I am having difficulty finding how to replace the 'replace' function we have been using in Oracle with equivalent functionality in Teradata. I have searched web forums/teradata sites and haven't been able to find anything which fits our needs (I know Teradata doesn't have a 'replace' function). We need to remove double occurrences of any letter from our data. This is so our data matching software runs more smoothly. For example, we want to replace '%AA%' with '%A%' (changing Isaac to Isac and Aaron to Aron etc), from 'A' through to 'Z' A solution or pointing in the right direction would be highly appreciated!
