I got the complete question now.

XML services Stored procedure internally invoke Table functions (which are UDFs), I suspect it might have caused a violation when running in unprotected mode.

If possible check the dbc.udfinfo for related UDF and check for the flag ExecProtectionMode.

I will post more findings , if I find any.
