BTEQ IMPORT format 'DATA' expects format 'fastload' (called format 'formatted' in fastload scripts). Each record has a 2 byte length followed by that many bytes of record data, followed by a record delimiter 0x0d0a on Windows, 0x0a on UNIX and LINUX. Both BTEQ and FASTEXPORT can export that format.
