Shrihari, my idea of you having two instances of Teradata is just based on the comparison of two data sources you have published earlier in
this thread. If the descriptions are just irrelevant comments then the idea is not relevant either.
You may still want to run a search for, say, tdata.so on the entire Solaris box to make sure there are no traces of previous client
versions.
Also, provide the component versions requested by the other poster who might be working for Teradata and will be able to tell you whether they
are suitable for installation on your Solaris version.
