Subj:   Re: Using a case Statement in a where clause

From:   Curley, David

Sachin,

Fred's given you an answer, but one thing to keep in mind: do you need to have it behave differently if Friday or Monday is a holiday? For example, if Monday is a holiday, should your Tuesday run cover Friday-Monday instead of Monday?

If this is common for you, one thing you could do is create your own calendar table with relative dates baked in. We have one that includes things like y/n today is a holiday, prior/next business day, prior/next business Friday, first/last day of month & quarter, and so on. It's very handy if there are some standard date manipulations in your shop.
