I'm new to teradata and have a question in regards to locking ?

I have created a fact table as MULTISET and with a NON-UNIQUE primary index.

I will have mutiple jobs (BETQ scripts) performing DELETEs and INSERTs into the same fact table.

Each job will do the following :

1) delete records for customers in a area, and for a specific period

2) Insert records for customers and for a specific period

We need to re-populate the fact b/c data has changed ( eg BUDGET or re-forecast data )

These jobs will run in parallel.

I think there is a possibility of record locking ... but how do I prevent this from occuring.
