We are having an issue with exporting Teradata to a flat file that will be read by Informatica to load to an Oracle database. The issue is, there is an ascii character in one of the fields in the flat file that is produced by the export. It looks like the ascii character is a OA or ^J. We tried to export the data using Teradata SQL Assistant 12.0 and using Option "Replace Carriage Return in column data with blanks". The ascii character is visible using Teradata SQL Assistant 12.0. It appears as a black box before the data in the field. Is there another method of exporting the data that will remove the non-printable ascii characters? Thank you. Lyle Saur
