Subj:   Can we get certain Current Activity data through a SQL Query?

From:   Fischer, Peter C

We need a SQL Query that produces certain Current Activity data. I have a good start with:

     select
       UserName ,
       SessionNo,
       LogonDate,
       LogonTime,
       LogonSource
     from DBC.SessionInfo
     order by 3 , 4 ;

Our "requirements" are additional columns for

PE State (idle, active,...),

Tot Amp,

Delta Spool,

Time Idle,

Time Blocked.

Nice to have would be CPU Amp.

This sort of data were provided previously, I think by the Teradata Performance Monitor Object, a COM object. This will not work for us as we don't have VB programmer resources available. (see the good article at developer.teradata.com /tools/articles/developing-performance-monitoring-applications-for-teradata . )

Viewpoint is not in our near future, as we are a State agency that has budget pressures.

We'd publish these data as a Crystal Report through Business Objects Enterprise.

QUESTION SUMMARY: can we get certain Current Activity data through a SQL Query?
