Hi all, I have macros that load into a certain table via an ODBC connection - sometimes after the macro begins, an MLOAD job loading to the same table begins and this causes a blocking situation. The blocked MLOAD process is blocked already at the BEGIN MLOAD stage. I've been told by our Teradata DBA and this situation is very detrimental to the overall performance of the entire Teradata database. A closely related question - if two MLOADs are running and loading to the same table with TABLEWAIT so that one process waits for the other one (also causes blocking situation), does this decrease the overall Teradata performance? Thanks!! Chaim
